Commute Tammy Traxtle's 25 Year Sentence For Murder.

In 1996, Tammy Traxtle, a 24 year old mother of three daughters, drove her brother Jeff to a drug deal. The deal did not go as planned and Jeff committed murder.

The district attorney offered Tammy a deal. "Just say that you saw Jeff pull the trigger and you will serve 18 months. Cross us and go to court and you will serve 25 years to life."  (Read  "Innocent Pleas vs Plea Bargains: What Juries Do  Not Hear)

Tammy did not see her brother pull the trigger. She could not lie on the witness stand. She took her chances in front of a jury, and was sentenced to 25 years to life. That was 18 years ago.

Tammy has a stellar record behind bars. She has participated in numerous rehabilitative programs, and has been a model inmate. We ask that you grant a commutation and allow her to become a taxpayer rather than a tax burden.
