ENFORCEMENT OF THE ELIMINATION OF LOUD MUSIC, FIREWORKS, VAGRANCY, LOITERING AND ILLEGAL DUMPING IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD

THE BOROUGH OF THE BRONX HOMEOWNERS, CO-OP SHAREHOLDERS, CONDOMINIUM OWNERS, AND CURRENT LEASE HOLDERS OF THE WILLIAMSBRIDGE SECTION, SPECIFICALLY OLINVILLE AVE AND WILLET AVE RUNNING NORTH AND SOUTH BETWEEN EAST 216TH STREET AND 211TH STREET, REQUEST AN ELIMINATION ON THE SUBJECT MATTER OUTLINED IN THE TITLE OF THIS PETITION, PERTAINING SPECIFICALLY TO 3560 OLINVILLE AVENUE. 

THESE NOISES, DISTURBANCES AND ACTIVITIES IS A CONTINUOUS NUISANCE THAT DISRUPT OUR LIVES AT AN ALARMING RATE OF AT LEAST 8-10 HOURS A DAY AT ANY GIVEN HOUR. RESIDENTS ARE DISTURBED BY PERVASIVE BASS SOUNDS THAT RESONATE AND CAN BE FELT BY A PERSON INSIDE THEIR HOME. ACCORDING TO LAW, BASS SOUNDS ARE NOT TO EXCEED 6dB ABOVE AMBIENT SOUND IF THE AMBIENT SOUND IS GREATER THAN 62dB as per Local Law 113 sec I-sec24-202; sub-chapter 24-233; 234; 236.  Multi-use residential property indoor limits during the day are 55 decibels and 40 decibels after 10pm.

It is the public policy of the city to reduce the ambient    sound level in the city, so as to preserve, protect, and promote public health, safety, and welfare, and the peace and quiet of the inhabitants of the city (etc.)... It is the public policy of the city that every person is entitled to ambient {noise} sound levels that are not detrimental to life, health, and enjoyment of his/her property. It is hereby declared that the making, creation, or maintenance or excessive and unreasonable noises within the city affects and is a menace to public health, comfort, convenience, safety, welfare, and the prosperity of the people of the city.  

This petition is initiated  to effect change by gathering enough signaures to serve on the  following who will be forced to enact and enforce what  we demand and deserve. We as a community deserve nothing less.
