Alcohol is far too prevalent in Australia's youth due to the low drinking age. About 2 in 5 (39.7%) people aged 14 years or older drank, at least once in the last 12 months, in a pattern that placed them at risk of an alcohol-related injury from a single drinking occasion. Fake id's and careless 18 year olds means students have easy access to high amounts of alcohol, leading to things like binge drinking.
