Located in Dak Lak Province, Buon Don is a popular destination for domestic and foreign tourists due to its elephant population, which is used as a means of transport in tour packages, as well as race animals in traditional festivals & forced breeding.
They have starved, killed and overworked their elephant population. Current data shows that the domesticated elephant population in Dak Lak has experienced a sharp decline from 500 in 1980 to just 43 at present. 43!! The administration recently came under criticism for the over-exploitation of elephants, which has led to the death of some of the mammals due to exhaustion while serving tourists.

Please sign and share this petition...... They cannot be allowed to kill off their elephants and simply pay Thailand and Sri Lanka for their babies and young elephants as slaves. Thailand and Sri Lanka will also be petitioned....... Thank you!
