SAVE OUR SCHOOLS

There are 59 Council maintained primary schools at present catering for 14,900 pupils as against 20 Academy primary schools with 3,200 pupils. The cost of converting all Herefordshire primary schools into academies would be £500,000 and they would then have no elected councillors or even parents on the governing bodies or supervising them
