I voted for Ron Paul and my vote did not count. Just another example of who is running this year's election. Big corporations!
Each culture imposes constraints on what people are able to think. It seems that American culture celebrates force instead of persuasion, dependency on Government instead of individual initiative and self-reliance, and makes the assumption that America owns the world, so that anything and everything we do is OKAY. Example, it's not OK for China to interfere in the affairs of Tibet, to send in troops or to repress local points of view that oppose Chinese views, but it's OK for America to invade Iraq and threaten Iran and any other country that disagrees with us. When one person, Ron Paul, expresses a different perspective the media repress that perspective. When one person advocates changing our behavior so that we lead by example instead of by force, the media ignores him, sneers, and laughs. Yet, without change of the kind Ron Paul advocates our country is on a path to self-destruction. It's important that we listen. Then, if we choose not to change, at least we will have made an informed decision to commit national suicide.
This arouses shame, that our best and brightest actually cannot think outside of corporate state constraints. It arouses frustration because, based on voting patterns for Ron Paul, perhaps as many as 15% of Americans actually are prepared to take responsibility for themselves and their families and their communities, and to solve the challenges we face, while 85% expect Government to do take care of them and, as far as caring for others, to do their caring for them. This self-reliant 15% can be much more effective if Government will get out of their way. It arouses embarrassment because foreigners see us for the bullies we have become rather than the informed world citizens we think we are.
Our Constitutional rights give it to us and no one not even the goverment should have the right to censor what we say.

Granted I do not agree with ron Paul on some of his issues I feel that his issues should not be silenced. nor should any other candidates for that matter, including third parties/independants.
Even if you don't support Ron Paul he ought to be given the same chance since it was particularly brought in by his biggest supporters that the men and women in the armed forces whose lives are on line.
It's hard to to be concerned with what the what the media wants it just makes a person to choose to act in a particular way. People were told things that were wrong from right and given the knowledge and given the knowledge and strength that you can or can not get from the the U.S. alone.
I'm getting tired of censorship in our so-called "free press".
The media is dominated by a few pinheads who know nothing about the wants and needs of the working majority. Boycott the liars!!!
The Main Stream Media does not fairly distribute news. It distributes propaganda with the intent of forming consensis on confabulated illusions or distorted perspectives. This is not acceptable for any purported "news" organization.
I have long since learned to discard anything presented as being at best misleading -- if not outright fraudulent, with the intent to direct the listener to come to believe patently false "realities". News reporting has little content of value, and is articulated deception, overwhelmingly.
The action taken by the major media has both stimied and prevented those who back Ron Paul from being heard in a fair and just manner. I feel that those of us who strongly desire to see his policies put into force within the U.S., have been cheated. I feel he would have prevented further cost, due to the war, and would have had far better solutions to the current financial crisis this country is in, than any other candidate from either party. The other candidates make me feel that my personal liberties are in dire jeapardy.
The media's action makes me feel that the people of the U.S. have no voice at all, when it comes to what is considered to be news. They have willfully influenced the people toward their chosen candidates, by their consistent downplay and outright censorship of any good news about Ron Paul's policies, and attempted to prevent any fair election.
The reality is that the news affects people's opinions, so in the interest of the representative process and therefore the United States as a whole, the corporate media's influence on elections must be minimized.
Honestly its not the media's actions that disturb me as much as the public's willingness to believe what they are told. I long for a return to intellectualism.
Ron Paul has brought into the light the true meaning of liberty and the importance of following the Constitution this country used to be adored for. The only president the future of this country can afford.

Our Constitution gave us the right to freedom of speech and the goverment is trying to hamper that.

This country is supposed to choose presidents based on information given to them by the candidates. How in the hell are we to know all of the information if it being withheld?

The election process that has taken place in this country has been entirely media driven. Since I live in a state where McCain won the "primaries" and yet I know of nobody personally, even though I have a huge network of friends, co-workers and associates, who actually supported him, I wonder how on earth this could have happened. During the entire process, the one individual who truly stands for what most Americans believe in was censored out of the media, by either not showing him at all, or injecting their personal ill-informed opinions about him on a daily basis. The election process, driven by the media, has truly been a farce.
The media is clearly part of the corpocracy that has become this country. Media should report facts. They should not be inbed in Iraq and reporters should not snidely be giving their opinions about potential candidates, as most Americans are clearly too lazy or too unintelligent to make up their own minds - especially when the facts are not presented.
A signature is the least I can do. I have worked, donated and volunteered many, many hours and am thankful for every one. This is just one more way to help.
I am no longer concerned with the media's motives. The truth has been told. Millions now know what they didn't before. Information and knowledge is power and strength that even money cannot buy or take away.
This is an infringement of our rights.
This takes away our rights under the constitution. Is the Government wanting to control all that we do. We as U.S. citizens will not put up with these tactics.
This encroaches. This steps across the lines of what is important to honesty, integrity, and the American who is able to remain properly informed.
The main stream media has driven me to shut of my television service almost one year ago and I've not regretted it.
This issue is important to me,I want to be informed with both sides of all isssues. I want to be able to make decisions based on informed consent not one sided media biases.
I became aware of the biased and non-reporting of issues during the election process of the last year. I was shocked at the amount of non-reporting. One area of contention for me was the debates being run by media personalities. It was blatenly obvious more then one candidate was ignored and marginalized!! When did the media acquire the power to affect the out come of our elections!!?? More importantly what a catch 22 for the public, first we want fair and unbalanced reporting yet the very people we go to fix this travesty are the very ones ignoring and marginalizing U.S. citizens only because they protest the media. WHERE IS THE CHECKS AND BALANCES FOR THE NEWSMEDIA. WE ARE NOT PROTECTED PLUS IF WE WANT TO HAVE OUR OWN MEDIA IT IS PRICED OUT OF THE REALM OF REALITY FOR THE AVERAGE CITIZEN!!!
Because these days, the average American votes for whomever the media tells them to.
It's quite obvious that the media is scared of Ron Paul. And why wouldn't they be? They are unable to control him and there is no financial benefit for them mentioning his name.

Ron Paul is a true patriot, and oddly enough most of his views fall among mainstream Republican party platform, but his views on economy and the war, for some retarded reason those 2 issues have made him a lunatic or kook to them, and McCain the warmongering idiot into the next republican presidential nominee, why?, in some reviews just dealing with Paul and McCain, during the run til now Ron Paul's name was mentioned on Mainstream Media outlets, 4,000 some odd times, to McCain's 45,000 times, censorship? forced direction? why is it that 70% of the country have still to this day only heard of Ron Paul as the crazy guy from Texas?
I am sickened by the media, there is no real news anymore, the hunt for the most shocking sex scandal or horrible car crash or how some over paid sexlet singer is doing has become the topics of MSM, molded views of war and politics, and plain refusal to cover the real important topics, has made this country dumb and blind to the reality of the government and the world, I hold in my hand 2 pills, a red on and a blue one, which will you take?

American citizens have organized by the hundreds of thousands nationwide and are actively working to compel the Federal Government to defend and uphold the U.S. Constitution and return to operating within its limits. Since American citizens are performing this civic duty, it is just plain wrong for a few rich, powerful media moguls to be legally permitted to create an uneven political playing field in the media and circumvent what is truly in the best interests of the majority of the American citizens in the working class--the backbone of this country.
I am outraged that a few rich, powerful medial moguls have chosen to use their monopoly-like control over the mainstream media to prejudice voters against political candidates who could turn this country around if elected and given a fair chance. Ron Paul's message MUST BE HEARD. It is a message of salvation -- the salvation of our Republic. Replay the Republican debates. Much of what RP said we are actually dealing with today! He said our economy would tank because of government's endless spending; that the Iraq situation was not getting better notwithstanding what we were being told. He mentioned the devaluation of the dollar because of the Fed's fiat money -- printing money out of thin air. He, more than any other candidate, understands the intricacies of economics. He can talk to Bernanke on Bernanke's level. Bernanke gets uneasy when he faces Ron Paul at the Housing Banking & Finance meetings. He foresees the end of the "middle class" if things continue as they are going (wild inflation). He stated that all empires come to an end once the currency ceases to be of value. I would think the media would be hanging on his every word at this point. He tell it like it is. And that takes courage if you are a politician. He does so because he truly cares about this nation.

Ron Paul is a man with a message that deserves to be heard. You may not agree with every aspect of what he stands for, but more than any candidate for dozens of years, he has a verifiable record of protecting the rights and freedoms of the average American citizen.
