This Is Isabeau - A Resident At The Wolf Sanctuary. Many More Wolves, Like Her, Can Be Saved With Your Help!

W.O.L.F. Sanctuary Expansion Needs Your Support

Target:
Board of County Commissioners - Larimer County, Colorado

W.O.L.F. is:
 - A 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Corporation,
 - A "True" Sanctuary dedicated to saving homeless wolves/wolf-dogs,
 - Located on 182 acres owned by the founders in the Rocky Mountains,
 - Limited by its county to 5 acres and 30 wolves,
 - Applying to increase the size of the Sanctuary to 30 acres/60 wolves,
 - Scheduled for a public hearing on February 4th on its application.

W.O.L.F. needs:
 - To counteract irrational and unfounded fears about wolves,
 - Significant public support to be successful with its application,
 - Your signature to make that happen.

We the undersigned believe you have an opportunity to show that you are truly "Committed To Excellence".  Irrational and unfounded fears should not and cannot determine your decisions.

The Wolf Sanctuary has demonstrated its "Excellence" over the last eight years.  It is a good neighbor and has not generated a single complaint.  This is testimony that attests to its compatibility with surrounding uses.  It also makes it very clear that the rights of others are not being jeopardized.

The need for the Sanctuary is critical.  It provides unquestionable Excellence in compassion and education that will certainly be necessary as wild wolves return to Larimer County.  To undermine their efforts will surely lead to a "Loss of Excellence" in the county.

Thank you for your judicious review of their application and for taking the time to read our request.

Thank You!

Your concern for the wolves in our care has been tremendous. We truly appreciate your support. Unfortunately, our County Commissioners voted to deny our application in spite of the outpouring of support.

We are currently working with our lawyers to determine the best approach to move forward. If you would like to be kept updated about our challenges with the county, please request to be added to our E-News list by sending a message to fwendland@wolfsanctuary.net

Again, we thank you!

Wolves are a national treasure and should be protected.

The Wolf has evolved with our Colorado eco-system. It is a pivitol species in maintaining the balance needed for a healthy habitat. When humans exterminated the wolves, we broke the balance. As Rocky Mountain National Park has found out, preditor species are key to keeping populations of elk and deer in check. Many other species that share this habitat have also been affected negatively. If we are to have Wild Areas for future generations, we need to preserve NOW. Education is the cornerstone of change. As residents of Colorado, our education is dependent on organizations like WOLF.

The Earth will cease to function anymore if the only creatures left on it are humans, dogs, and cats...

I realize that I may be too late, but I hope to God that WOLF has been granted the expansion. Would the opposers of this expansion ask their neighbors to move if their children laughed or sang 4 or 5 times a day? Wolves howling are doing no more than communicating - and their howls are a song. If you sing to them, they will sing back to you. These precious animals are not dangerous to humans - anymore than the livestock that are allowed free range in Northern Colorado. I am one of the many people that would love to live next door to these animals - God willing, W.O.L.F. Sanctuary will be able to continue their incredible work, and the ignorant people opposing this will do a little more research on who is the real destructor of our state.

I support all wolf rescue and adoption sanctuaries. These are amazing creatures which I plan to work with when I finish college. I am very disappointed to discovery not a single sanctuary exsists in Oklahoma.

Own land in both MT and Larimer County, CO

I respect and support your Wolf/Wolf-Dog Sanctuary. Living in the Bitterroot Valley of MT, I have come to know firsthand the mistrust and fear held against these creatures by ranchers and hunters. Not only do we need sanctuarues such as yours, but the Western US could use education about these magnificant animals. Please continue your good work and I hope that your petition is successful for the continued good work that you do. BF

The Santuary needs your support, please help! These poor animals are being driven from their environment every day. Where do they have left to go.

No I'm not a resident of those counties.

This is a wonderful non-profit organization in Colorado. As Colorado residents you should accept the need for this organization and recognize the fantastic work that they do. We need more folks to step forward.

How can people say that such beautiful creatures are so dangerous? If people left them alone they'd see the error of their thoughts.
