Please sign the petition for Justice for Major. Major is a Rottweiler mixed breed who was shot, stabbed, mutilated, had his hip shattered, and was left for dead... BUT HE CRAWLED HOME AND HAS SURVIVED!
Send a message to St. Claire County, and Springville Alabama Police Department that caring human beings will not tolerate animal abuse, torture, or misuse. Demand that the criminals who committed these heinous acts upon this pitiful animal be found and prosecuted.

Major's rehab is going to take a long time, perhaps the rest of his life. An innocent animal like Major is worth it. Please help.
9/19/10: UPDATE: The Longs have requested funds go first directly to the Veterinarian to help pay Major's bills.
To donate to the Long's reward fund for "Justice For Major" please make checks payable to: Gary Long and mail to: 120 Rolling Oaks Dr., Springville AL 35146. Be sure to write "Justice For Major Reward Fund" on your check.
A $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person/persons who committed this crime has also been offered by the Humane Society of the US. (HSUS).
On September 17, Major underwent a second extensive operation. It was a very long and painful operation that involved putting bones back together and the insertion of plates and screws to hold together Major's shattered bones.
Major is now on heavy pain medications and also on antibiotics. His medication routine requires him having to take about 18 pills a day.
Current estimates are that Major will need to undergo rehab and evaluations for the next 12 weeks before he is considered on the other side of this ordeal he has suffered.
Please remember that Major's vet bills are going to be astronomical. If you can help, please see the Veterinarian's address above for donations.

We come forward supporting justice for Major and in letting St. Claire County Alabama know that these kinds of criminal acts will not be tolerated by the American public.
