I write this petition  with reluctance, but having read the allegations from the above website! I must now ask PETA to reorganize and oust its founder for the sake of all animals and the good that it has done and will do in the Future!
I am appalled at the admitted policies from PETA itself these links below  also include a PETA link and their expressed policy against No Kill organizations!
I have hear blurbs and questionable behavior for years ... The relatively new trend for No Kill is illustrated by California's new LAW! The group(organization)  illustrated and linked by me on this petition is in no way associated to me and they did not pen this petition . I hold that responsibility on myself at the urging of a small group of unnamed friends who urged me to 'do something'
  I sincerely hope that PETA does the right thing and reorganizes with a No-Kill policy of Companion animals!  I wish not to harm the good work that they have done! However the stance on Euthansia  at present is abhorrent to myself!  I ask for a change of this one policy ! That's all I will close this petition Only when that is accomplished! There can be no  compromise on this subject ! Either you are No kill or you are in favor of Kill policies!
 with that said I suggest Boycott of PETA funds until this issue is resolved!
Or at he least email them to change policies!
If you are one of the many kind people who love animals and support PETA through monetary contributions!
I will continue to sign their petitions but its for the animals that they save not the companions euthanized by them!

We do not relish publicly criticizing an organization striving to help animals. BUT, when one has engaged in a pattern of conduct so egregious as to threaten the credibility of the entire animal rights community, a strident disapprobation is not only warranted, it is mandated.

More importantly, when an animal 'defender' is in fact a lethal perpetrator killing innocent animals, they must be stopped! It is with grave disappointment that we call for Ingrid Newkirk's resignation. We believe an investigation is warranted to determine if Newkirk committed any criminal acts resulting in animal deaths. If you think this is about 'one' incident, read on. It's about a history of deception, secrets and mass killing stretching decades under Newkirk's command.

Since the inception of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animal [PETA] in 1980, Ingrid Newkirk has loudly renounced the torture and killing of a myriad of animals, including cows, minks, monkeys, elephants, fox, pigs and chicken. Hundreds of thousands of animal sympathizers, horrified by dramatic exposés, rushed to join PETA's ranks to end the suffering.

But for a quarter of a century Newkirk was conspicuously silent on the slaughter of hundreds of millions of companion animals at municipal pounds. PETA was mum  on the tradition of executing man's closest friends and housemates: dogs and cats.  INGRID NERK PETA

However all of that changed recently. In the wake of a growing global cry to end pound deaths, followers and foes alike demanded PETA take a position. Slow in coming, they finally got their response. It was nothing short of explosive.   INGRID NEWKIRK PETA

NEWKIRK KILLS WITH HER OWN HANDS
In 2003 we learned for the first time that Ingrid Newkirk - tireless defender of animals - has another face. During the 1970's her chosen profession was "dog catcher" and killer. Newkirk unabashedly describes her zeal for killing in her own words: "I'd go to work early, before anyone got there, and I would just kill the animals myself...I must have killed a thousand of them, sometimes dozens every day." She was so good at it she rose through the ranks to become director of District of Columbia's high-kill pound where she reigned for some years. There, under her rule, untold thousands more died.   INGRID NEWKIRK 

NEWKIRK TURNS PETA'S HOME OFFICE  INTO A DEATH CHAMBER
The next revelation is even more appalling: Newkirk has never stopped killing. Not only is she non- apologetic about her murky past, she quietly continues her murderous avocation. She turned PETA's Norfolk, Virginia headquarters into her own personal killing field. There she hauled in more than 17,822 puppies, kittens, dogs and cats since 1998 and executed 14,419 of them.  This does not include wild animals - in 2005 alone, PETA admits to killing 141.  In 2005 Newkirk killed 90% of her defenseless captives and adopted only 6% - a ratio far worse than almost any pound in the country.

Sadly by 2010 PETA's record is 94% kill of all animals received by it! An increase in killing by 4 %!

Animal lovers worldwide now have access to more than a decade's worth of evidence showing that People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) kills thousands of defenseless pets at its Virginia headquarters. Since 1998, PETA has opted to "put down" 25,840 adoptable dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens instead of finding them "forever homes."

PETA's "Animal Record" report for 2010, which the animal rights group itself filed with the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, shows that PETA employees killed 94 percent of the dogs and cats in their care last year. During all of 2010, PETA found adoptive homes for just 44 pets.

Just 44 dogs and cats—out of the 2,345 PETA took in. Those numbers are abysmal, and they and offer little hope for homeless animals to escape perishing on PETA's version of "death row."

The Virginia Beach SPCA, just down the road from PETA's Norfolk headquarters, manages to adopt out the vast majority of the animals in its care. And it does it on a shoestring budget

Why would PETA, an "animal rights" group, secretly kill animals at its headquarters? From a cost-saving standpoint, PETA's hypocrisy isn't difficult to understand: Killing adoptable cats and dogs—and storing the bodies in a walk-in freezer until they can be cremated—requires far less money and effort than caring for the pets until they are adopted.

PETA has a $33 million annual budget.

We must  stop PETA from this deceptive practice by any means possible! Advocating better dead than adopted is terrible and smirks of  genocidal tactics against helpless animals.  Is it not cruel and unjust to oppose those who would adopt animals rather than kill them immediately?  Who advocate all Pit bulls be euthanized and advocate extermination of a particular breed? To actively oppose no kill tactics such as spay and release feral cats?

I think that PETA needs a lot of change and it won't be with a certain women in charge! She can never weather this onslaught! Her Fatcat salary is outrageous: the truth comes out eventually! As PT Barnum said 'you can fool all of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time. The time has come for Her to resign!
Prove your commitment to animals,  Madam step aside or renounce your own recent statements on No Kill policies! Do that right thing for ALL concerned especially the Animals don't victimize them retire  or renounce and apologize!

   *PETA spent over 9,000 dollars (on tax return) for walk-in freezer (electrical bills) to store dead animals (2002)and they paid someone else to cremate them! No incinerator stacks on their property! Even the Germans didn't waste  energy freezing victims of 'Holocaust' before disposal: They just told nearby town (to Auschwitz) was sausage factory with all the smell of burning bodies!
