Disallow Polar Bear Trophy Hunting

Polar Bears - one of Earth's most magnificent creatures. In about fifty years, if no action is taken, there won't be anymore of them. With a population somewhere between 20,000 and 25,000 (and declining), climate changes impacting their habitats, and pollution affecting their waters, there is an impending doom upon the beautiful species. However, while humans may be the main cause of their endangerment, we are also the only source of help they have.
Fortunately, hunting Polar Bears in the United States is ILLEGAL. On the unfortunate side, 60% or more of the Polar Bear population is in Canada, where hunting is LEGAL. This means that American hunters can travel to Canada, kill a Polar Bear, and if given the permit, can import the trophy into the United States. Between 600 and 700 Polar Bears are shot every year from hunters. About half of those are granted permits to be allowed back into the United States. At this rate, Polar Bears will be extinct by 2050, if not sooner.
So help out this beautiful species and sign this petition, which will then be sent to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and in turn, hopefully, disallow American hunters to travel to Canada to hunt the species.

Polar Bears are one of the most magnificent creatures on Earth, yet with a combination of climate changes, pollution, and trophy hunting, they will soon become extinct. We the undersigned, believe that it is the duty of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife service to outlaw issuing permits to the American hunters who travel to Canada to
murder Polar Bears. With between 600 and 700 of them being shot and killed by hunters every year, and half of those being brought back into the U.S., it is only provoking more hunters to follow in their footsteps.
Please aid us in our attempt to rescue this amazing species, and outlaw Trophy Hunting Permits!
