I have a group of friends who get together to watch How It's Made in our free time. Today we immediately noticed that something had dramatically changed in one of our favorite programs. The silky smooth narration of Brooks Moore had been replaced with the nasaly Amber Boch guy??!? Neither rich, nor smooth. My friends and I are trying to identify another show to watch on our lunch hour and other free times, something not on Discovery. Perhaps we'll tune into Mr. Rodgers to see the How It's Made segments that you stole the idea from in the first place. Fix this.

Even my 2nd-grade son recognizes Brooks' voice from the old episodes. He's awesome. And then all the sudden, Boom! He's gone! What the hell? Do the producers think this new guy has any flair? I don't know if he quit, or was fired, or got a new job, or asked for more money. I don't care if Brooks unleashed a virus into the director's computer (or the production assistant's wife - just kidding!) or whatever reason he's not there, just pay what you have to to bring him back. Otherwise, you might as well sign up Ted McGinley, as this show has officially Jumped the Shark.

When I first saw this show I LOVED the format, it was so raw, matter of fact. I thought "This is a show about how stuff is made and that's it! No "fluff", Wow! How cool is that!". Then of course the narrator's voice, SO engaging to the show. He wasn't just saying the words (as "Zac" does), it felt like he was actually explaining the process to ME! When my wife and I would turn to the show we would literally be speechless through each segment until the next commercial except for the occasional "Huh" or "Oh". We were TOTALLY glued to his voice! It's true, no lie! Now with the new format and "Zac" the new narrator it's just not there anymore. As I said earlier "Zac" just says the words, it doesn't engage us to the show as it used to AT ALL! Currently we've been REALLY trying to give the new format (and "Zac") a chance but it isn't working, the magic is gone... Then the rest of the format change... background music, loss of "historical origin renderings".. It's too "bubbly" now, it's totally lost that raw format that had such an appeal. Now it's more entertainment than educational, which has put us off as well. I'm sure there are MANY more people out there that feel the same way. I've discussed this topic with just few of my close friends and family and they totally feel the same way! Please return one of our most entertaining and engaging shows to the way it was!

Regarding the narrator of HOW IT'S MADE, please PLEASE P L E A S E bring back Brooks. The current narrator is not as good as the previous narrator. Brooks' voice had such expression and class. I prefer the old narrator to the new one. The old narrator made the show MUCH more interesting; he had a more mature sound and interest in his voice. The new narrator seems like he just reads the script carelessly with no inflection. PLEASE BRING THE OLD NARRATOR BACK!!!
