This is a small example of the creulty inflicted upon children by people meant to care for them.

Citizens For Children Act

Target:
Presidential nominees,V.P.s, members of congress, sentencing commision.
Sponsored by:

An average of four children die everyday as a result of abuse. We request your signiture in an effort to show that as citizens of the United States we are in agreement that all States come together on thier definition of child abuse, that all States share the same sentencing structures and that we uphold the highest  penalties for those that commit crimes against our children. We want tougher laws and enforcement of those laws, enough is more than enough. Research shows that sexual preditors choose victims in states with lower penalties, that a great cost in medical services can be incurred by victims who have suffered physical abuse, also the cost of state funded programs designed to help victims whose caretakers are accused of abuse...just some examples. We need sentencing that will stretch across all the states making guidelines that are clearly defined, laws that make the statement that abuse cannot and will not be tolerated.Laws that raise minimum penalties and will not be lowered beyond the minimum of the offense committed reguardless of incarceration facility costs. ( with the examples above and others, the prevention of further crimes will outweigh these costs) *We feel that life should mean life and this sentence should carry a minimum sentence of 30 years, leaving open the option for cooperation: reduction of 1 year, guilty plea reduction of 2 years. To be inforced as any form of abuse leading to the death of a child . ( increase on circumstances of case- Maximum being upon death of the convicted.) *Injury inflicted on a child resulting in brain damage,a skull or bone fracture, subdural hemmorrhage or hematoma, dislocation, internal injury, poisoning, burn or scald , scarring or life altering injury should be punishable by no less than 20 years with above mentioned reduction allowances.Parole must not be granted before minimum is served in either case.

We the undersigned feel it in the best interest of children to conform all States to the same clear definitions of child abuse, to raise the time given to the perpetraitors of crimes against them and make sure minimum sentencing is forfilled before parole is considered. That plea bargaining be lessened. That in cases resulting in the death of a child that 30 yrs be the minimum and 20 years in cases of severe injury( listed in petition). We are thankful for your time and careful consideration in this matter and are hopeful for our childrens future.

As a mother to 3 beautiful children, I could never imagine hurting them. I don't understand how anyone can be given such a wonderful gift from god, and then choose to abuse them. These people are a menace, and should never be allowed back into our society to reproduce and then repeat the cycle. If you don't wan't your child, give them to someone who can't have children. At least then these innocent children will be given a chance to grow and prosper. But that's just my opinion!!

We have got to save our children, they are our future! We must fight for them because they cannot fight for themselves, NO child deserves to be abused, and ANYONE who would hurt an innocent child is capable of anything! Lock them up and throw away the key!

We must protect our children in this country. To many babies and children are abused and fall thru the cracks which leads to their death or a life time of mental and physical pain.No child should ever to be put back into a dangerous home and live in fear.We must make sure our child in this country(then else where)are safe and protected from any type of child abuse. All child abusers should pay a price no matter what state they live in.Lets save lives of our innocent children and protect them from all types of harm. The innocent child should never have to suffer twice for the wrong of other.

I seen the pictures and it made me cry and I am a mother of two kids and would never do anything like that. We need to make a stand to stop these horrible acts and give them the same punishment or even worse then what they did to the innocent children. It disgusts me that things like this go on and we need to stop it, Please.
