It is our understanding that MUD 1 will add a $3 fee to everyone's water bill for this program and we feel that it is worth that amount in order to preserve our environment.

I have lived in 4 other states where curbside recycling was encouraged, and was surprised at the reduction of household trash and felt good about helping the landfills. Coming from another North American City with only 1 million residents actively participating in extensive recycling programs it was shocking to discover the limited(non existant)recycling programs in such a thriving community (Houston & Greater Area). It would be superb if the efforts of those participating in this survey result in a curbside recycling program! Thanks to everyone who is participating - please have all your family members sign as well they live in the neighborhood too.
