No Uniforms for North Pocono High School !

Target:
North Pocono School Board and Superintendent

We the Students of North Pocono School District should have a say in what we wear. By wearing uniforms it denotes our personality and the way we express ourselves. Keep originality alive in NP because we are the only school left that has it. There is no problem with the dress code right now so why fix what isn't broken.

I dont care if the school finds this and expels all of the students who signed. I would be HAPPY to take a punishment if we could have our personaltity. Doesnt the constitution say we have the freedom of speach, which also means we have freedom of expression? Taking that away will take the attention away from work and put onto how we look in uniforms? They are blaming us for other peoples faults. Also, Uniforms are expensive. For all of the people going to the Kids Closet, they have to get regular clothes AND uniforms. THAT COSTS MONEY THE SCHOOL DOESNT HAVE!

as North Pocono alumni I agree in the ban against school uniforms. The freedom of expression is at risk with them and it doesn't make the school any better. North Pocono needs to focus less on what the students are wearing and on their poor academic services.

We go to school, learn, work hard, we do what they want, and their still not happy! We go to school to learn ( and in some cases, gossip )WHO CARES WHAT WE WEAR! Uniforms will only pressure us more, it will be like 800 clones. We should be able to express ourselves the way we want to. Let me just say, if i have to wear uniforms, im being home-schooled.

if we get uniforms, then i will be uncomfortable for school and everyone will look the same, thats just not right, and if i feel uncomfortable then it will highly impsct my grades!

Uniforms take away from who we are. Teachers are constantly trying to spark our creativity, and now, the school board is trying to take it away. Uniforms wont stop the bullying, if it's going to happen, it will find a way, no matter what we wear. I understand that students do break the dress code, but they are punished for it. Why should the students who stick with the dress code have to be forced to wear a uniform?

Everyone expresses their individuality in diffent ways. Getting uniforms will make us all the same on the oustide and thats just not fair to us students.

Uniforms may be seen as an equilizer, but they're really only taking away individuality. And sure, they think kids our age should do that in other ways, but some kids are too shy to speak out in any other way but what they wear. I believe a stricter dress code might stop this problem a bit, but uniforms are out of the question. We're pretty much the only awesome school left. Don't take that away cause u'll be taking much more than that.

I dont think we should have uniforms, if i wanted a uniform i would go to a private school. Aslo, I don't think the school should be desiding what the students wear its not fair for us. We should be the ones making the decision on what we wear considering we are the ones wearing them. And how would you like it if i told you that you had to wear the same style outfit for 180 days, you would be mad too. So no uniforms.
