I have seen many COMMEMORATIVE STAMPS issued, and none so important as this, GREYHOUND RESCUE & ADOPTION.
This effort has been a long, rewarding process, so I am hoping for the public assistance in getting behind this request and bring it into fruition. There are many organizations located across the country, and through much hard work and personal sacrifice as volunteers - many times at their own financial expense move our RETIRED RACING GREYHOUNDS into their FOREVER HOMES.
'This COMMEMORATIVE POSTAGE STAMP will be a tremendous boost in public acceptance as well as to elevate the status of these beautiful, gentle GREYHOUNDS AS PETS, USA.
Truly, it would be quite an accomplishment for all, and a testament to an increasingly caring society.I have your letter of August, 2004, and I am happy, proud, optimistic and grateful for your consideration in assisting me with this wonderful task. I know that you have supported many pieces of legislation for the protection of all animals, and therefore I am hopeful you will be interesting in furthering this great challenge.So I know that we have that in common, and that you are a lover of all animals.Thank you for your help, advice and guidance in this matter.
