These pictures show the abuse suffered by bears who are forced to perform at The Russian State Circus Company's touring Bears on Ice show. Their mouths are muzzled so they cannot attack their trainers... a reminder of the cruelty used to teach the animals to do their circus tricks for the entertainment of humans.
Recently one bear could stand the humiliation no longer and attacked his trainers, severely injuring one and killing the other...  so he was shot dead by police! This just shows how cruel and unnatural this is to the bears and it must stop now! 
Please sign the petition to show the Russian Government that there is no room for such barbaric practices in this modern age.

We the undersigned ask you to ban the barbaric practice of training bears to 'entertain' people at circuses in your country. These wonderful creatures do not belong in a circus. They are wild animals who who should be free to live their lives as they were intended, not abused and humiliated, all in the name of 'fun'. 
We implore you to ban this cruel practice immediately and release the bears to sanctuaries, where they can live the rest of their lives in a more natural environment.
