"Kind Hands" ("Dobrye Ruki") charity fund asks the Tomsk city authorities (Russian Federation, Siberia) to put an end to terrible and inhuman shooting and poisoning of stray dogs in day time. To kill the animals they use a curare-like muscle relaxant ADELINE-SUPER, which is banned as euthanasia method in all civilized countries of the world. Dead bodies are not taken away for a long time, poor animals are agonizing painfully, seen by women, kids and elederly citizens. Dutch students, Americans, Canadians and other foreigners who happened to visit Tomsk, couldn't help wheeping over the strays. The Fund suggested to control the stray dog population by means of sterlization. Thus "Kind Hands" has been sterilizing the strays in its shelter since 2009; more than 3 thousand cats and dogs have found new families. Sterlization of one animal costs 25 rubles, while the city spends 553.42 rubles to shoot one stray dog. The Fund offers to make its shelter become a base for a Training Center of the Agricultural Institute Veterinary Department, where stray animals will be sterlized and passed to new owners or animal protection organizations. "Kind Hands" fund needs Your support to make the city administration consider this offer, thus allowing Tomsk to become the first Russian city, where the stray animal population problem is settled in a civilized way!
