Hillary Clinton: Stay in the Race!

Target:
All Hillary Clinton Supporters Unite to Urge Hillary to Continue!
Sponsored by:
Participation and excitement within the Democratic Party is at an all time high. The vigorous race between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton continues to invigorate the party, and draw new members.  Participation in local Democratic District meetings, caucuses, and primaries has exploded. States which normally enjoy no influence in nomineee selection are suddenly meaningful, and excited. Meanwhile, voters get the benefit of learning more and more about both candidates each day. Remind me again why this is damaging the Democratic Party? At least, this is the reason most often cited why Clinton should drop.

It is not surprising this pressure comes almost exclusively from Barack Obama's campaign and supporters. What is surprising is that a constituency so focused on promise and hope would be urging someone to quit, because it's hopeless.

Perhaps a wonky winner, I've always considered it a letdown to claim a victory due to forfeit. And we're talking about the Presidency of the United States--it is not like asking someone to step aside politiely in the line at the bank.

Hillary has earned about half the popular vote, routinely exceeds her opponent and the GOP candidate in daily electoral math, and has a following just as strong and passionate as her opponent. She has won all the deep blue states despite being outspent and maneuvered in caucus states that will never elect a Democrat President.

And if any damage is occuring in the party, it is not because 2 great candidates are running. Democrats themselves, individually, are accountable and need to own their beliefs & behavior.

Each and every individual participant contributes to the spirit of this primary season, and to the level of divisiveness. Instead of finding reasons to win by default, step aside and understand the gift of having two great candidates. Let it play out. We don't have to tear down one candidate to support the other. It is up to us to stop making it black or white--this is a process and it is healthy.

We the undersigned believe the contest for the Democratic Nomination, between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, should continue. We believe as many states and voters as possible should be heard in this very close race.

We understand that neither candidate will earn the requisite 2025 pledged delegates to win the nomination outright. We understand both candidates need to earn the support of Super Delegates to win, and if this does not bring them to 2025 it will be decided another way.  It is not a contest of plurality.

Additionally, we appreciate and recognize the invigoration and unprecedented levels of participation this primary season has drawn for the Democratic Party. We understand that the facts contradict those, almost invariably supporters of Barack Obama, who say this is bad for the Democratic Party.

Half of Democrats Nationwide support Hillary Clinton, and are weary of our candidate being pressured to "quit because it's hopeless" by a campaign and constituency supposedly driven by hope and promise. The contradiction is not lost on us. For every negative comment we hear--for every subtle or overt pressure placed--we work harder. We are tirelessly committed, and relentlessly optimistic. We are not quitters, and neither is our candidate. We won't apologize for not making the nomination for the Presidency convenient to acquire for her worthy opponent. The very quality revealed by Hillary not quitting is merely showcasing why she is the best choice for President.

Thank you for signing this petition to keep Senator Hillary Clinton in the race for the Democratic Nomination.

I will NEVER vote for the friend of a US bomber or the friend of a racist Rev. Wright, who sat in a pew and listened to all of this hate for america and racist comments. It is a real shame that once again the democratic party has chosen a real loser for its nominee. The man is an elitist, with next to no experience and he wants to be our president??? Forget it, plus in my opinion the man is a fraud. Who knows what other skeletons are in Obamas closet... only hillary will help the common ordinary working class person. Again, she was slapped in the face by the democratic party and needs to run independently in November. By the way.Obama has already flip-flopped on the election funding and refuses to help the working man by refusing to drill for oil in america to lower the gas prices.THIS IS CHANGE???? What a fraud...America wake up...Hillary is the only REAL choice for America...Vote Hillary in november....

I am so disappointed and embarassed at the way Hillary has been treated by all parties, especially mine & her's "The Democratic Party". What a joke the DNC Rules Commitee have shown themselves to be...and on National TV so we could all see how ignorant they acted. I will NEVER vote for NObama nor McCain. Hillary is the only person that can help this Country. Please Hillary, stay in through the Convention...we always have your back and I for one will be there fighting for you and only you!!! ONE OF 18 MILLION STRONG!!!

This the most un-american and un-demomcratic thing I have ever heard of. This idiot will stop at nothing to advance an inexpericed and unqualified candidate to the most important office in the nation and in the free world. IN the beginning I was not a HIllary supporter, but after seeing and hearing her in San Antonio, Texas I was convinced that without a doubt that there was no one more qualified and committed to being the President of the United States.. Hillary Clinton has a passion and a mission, she is fulfilling what I would call a divine commandment within hereself. It takes courage and strength to stand up the goliaths of the National Democratic Party. I for one did not spend i5 hours workng as an election offical in the Primary election, invested my time and energy in the coventions to have some group lead by an incompentant idiot rob me and other supporters of my vote and my constitual right to be heard in the election process. Hillary Clinton does not have to release her delegates now or at the covention unless she personally feels it is the right thing to do, how dare he be so presumptuous as to assume that she does not have the right to be on the First Ballot. It sound as if Hitler is trying to rise up and dictate again. We must continue to support Hillary Clinto. Carolyn Arambula

Do not back away from this fight, Hillary. We don't need you as 2nd on this ticket. We need you on the top of this ticket. And we are so committed to this that we will not be able to vote for a ticket with Obama on it. We will vote for McCain. Please keep fighting. This country needs you as President.

I will never vote for a candidate that, I believe, has no known political experience, acts like he and his family are above every one else, whose wife looks as if she is mad at the world and speaks the same way, and belongs to a church that preaches racest comments about the White People and treasonous and out and out lies about this country and the White people and then tries to cover it up by saying that they went to this church for 20 plus years and never heard nor spoke any racest word such as Rev. Wright spoke and what Mrs. Obama was reported to have said "Whitey". Just because they said they resigned from this church does not mean they did. Nor does it mean they don't agree with the teachings of this church. How dare that church have a visiting minister come in and say such offensice and racest remarks about Hillary and then, when he is caught, tries to make it better by an appology. How stupid do they thing we are? Another thing, what were their children doing in this church while this was going on? How do we know they have not been taught to have the White people? They want the presidency and will say and do anything to make this happen. Hillary is the more qualified, her family has proven their love for this country by standing up for the voter, Hillary has, more importantly, won the popular vote. The media disrespected her and helped Obama get to where he is. The media should not be able to manipulate voters the way they did. Hillary, become an Independent and put yourself on the ballot as president. We'll show the raciest Obama campaign and the media that the people have spoken!!! Don't give up your 18 million votes. We can and will help you win. Change to Independent.

Hillary, we are still behind you all the way. Do not stoop to the level of VP. You are better than that and deserve much more. Only the office is good enough for you. Since the DNC has let you down and not listened to the voters we all agree you need to strep up and run as an Independent. There are 18,000 of us waiting to cast our vote for you. Never never never will we vote for OBAMA. He does not in any way represent the American people. Send him back to his radical friends. They think he is great and they deserve him
