Okay, here is the deal. If you are attempting to stop healthcare reform for fear of SOCIALISM than I would like you to sign the petition I created to pledge your support to refuse to use the Medicare you already have or to promise to never sign up for it. That's right, Medicare is a government run insurance administered by private insurance (unfortunately) to private doctors and hospitals much like the evil public option in the healthcare bill will be. You do not have to sign up for the benefits it is voluntary.
Yes, you will have to still pay taxes for those that do want the benefits just like people without children have to pay taxes to fund public schools, or pacificsts fund military ventures, etc. but you don not have to accept the evil socialistic handout.
I urge you to take a stand against the socialism you so fear.

We the undersigned are opposed to socialized medicine in all its forms. As such, we declare that we will refuse to sign up for Medicare coverage in the future and if we have it now we shall, having seen the error of our ways, request to be removed from the program. We no longer wish to support socialism. We are confident that the private market will adequately provide for our health care needs.
We signed the "I Pledge to Deny Myself Medicare for Life!" petition!

Welfare and Medicaid are government subsidized not totally government controlled. The states pay in many dollars every year for those using the system. Medcare isn't that great unless you have other insurance which the consumer has to pay for out of their soccial security checks Humana, AARP, United Healthcare and more companies out there have plans to assist in the care of those on medicare. So these people paids in and thought they wouldn't have to pay anymore for insurance and OH They still do. So where is this socialized medical healthcare idea coming from.
I see it as medical coverage that is subsidized by those who pay in all their lives then have to continue paying for supplemental insurance to help out with the added cost of medical treatment that medicare doesn't cover. Then they still have to pay for the balance due that isn't covered by any plan. So SOCIALIZED MEDICAL INSURANCE/or medicine NO WAY!!! that isn't by any long shot what medicare is.
Medicaid is only attainable by those who have incomes for one person of $125 a month, YES just $125 a month!!! If you have more income than that you don't get medcaid. Now children who have Chips, medicaid or some other named state run insurance are children of parents who don't have enough income to get medical treatment for their children or don't have a job that has medical insurance available. OK say they shouldn't have the kids if they can't afford them! Well what if they could afford them and then their life changed for the worst and they were put in a position of NEED!? Would you then say the same? Probably not. The income level is very low. Oh, the care that these children get isn't always the best either if they are healthy fine but if they are sickly most doctors won't waste their time on them. Just let them die or suffer because they aren't worth the doctors time. Don't think I am right well it happens. Or they say the child is mental or a hypocondriac and pass them off that way. YES THIS IS TRUE and it is close to socialized medicine because you can't go see who you want, or go anywhere you want, see specialists you want, can't get timely appointments when needed and don't get the care or concideration necessary to treat many complicated conditions. I am not saying it is broken the children medical through the states. I beleive the doctors have the wrong attitude toward these patients and the restrictions are so stringent and so many docs don't want to take the assignment because they don't get paid enough to make it worth their while! This opens up another sore, aren't doctors supossed to care for the sick and heal without looking toward the money!? Yeah and that is great concept but because of laws, lawyers, crazy people sueing docs because they missed something or pharmasuetical companies making drugs that are harmful or not fully disclosed their dangers and the insurance the doc has to carry just to protect himself is expensive they have to care about the money. Also all the HMO'S, Like socialized medicine only pays a doc so much money each year to care for each patient the doctor is always passing the patient off to another doctor so he can get his peice of pie from the HMO. Yes your primary care physician only gets a stipen for the care he gives you. You pay co-pay but if he normally charges $125 for office visit and he gets $500 or $700 a year from HMO when that $500 runs out all he gets is your co-pay! Would you with a $350,000 to $500,000 or more educational expense and the overhead of a plush office, which we have all come to expect and paying all the employees to process papers upon papers feel obligated to take care of you WHo only pays $20 or $30 a visit. He may as well go back to the old days of doc Holiday in the old westerns. Work for a pig or a cabbage or something like that.
WE DON"T NEED OR WANT SOCIALIZED MEDICINE! OUR MEDICAL SYSTem has to be looked at in a different way. How our doctors charge and are charged, how they can be sued at the drop of a hat, and how the insurance companies pay, Lord knows we pay enough! Lower drug costs to a more reasonable level like Wal-Mart and Walgreens has done for some why not all do they really cost $8.00 to make each pill?? ---- No So why charge. Make the pharmacuetical companies and The FDA be more careful in testing and releasing drugs that are more dangerous than the condition they are supposed to treat!
I could go on but I hope you have the picture. Medicaid is good make it better! Medicare is Good make it better. Stop the stupid spending and the dipping into SS for other governmental uses than what it was designed for. Leave our retirement through forced saving alone and let those who have paid in reap the benefits as they have been promised and give them good healthcare they worked for it. The children healthcare from the state and federal end is good But be more open minded and help the doctor care a little more about the patient, make it worth his while! He deserves it he worked hard to become a doctor!! If we have socialized medicine then every doctor out there right now should be reembursed for his educational expenses and the government should pay for the education of every doctor that comes on board from here on in! Yeah why should they be punished by taking cuts in their pay for somebodies whimsical thought that socialized medicine will make it better it WON"T! It will make it worse. We already have a shortage of doctors trhat take workercomp cases why? They don't get paid and therefore they won't treat the patient or go through all the red tape and court hearings involved with the workerscomp system and guidlines. I can't blame them!
I do hope more people can get medical care that trully need it. There are those that are just hypochondriacs I know. But at least give them the benefit of making sure they are ok. If a person needs special help with medical equipment for comfort or to help them continue to be productive part of society then help them if they can't afford it but don't make medicine socialized. It doesn't work and it has been proven. Yes I have been conected with the medical field I am not a professional but have the inside and outside scoop on many things that go on. And I will want medicare when I get old enough. Why not? It is our God Given American Right and we have paid for it and still do when we receive it!

Poor American Proletariat confused by Preachers and Republicans in
need of votes of the Proletariat shaking hands with great success,
but Conservatism of Republicans and Preachers are two completly
different things in itself. Proletariat needs beer and potatoe chips
and Preachers deliver them to Republicans for pay-back in the form
let us say "Faith base initiative".
Edward Kennedy - THE GREAT!!!! May His memory be Eternal!!!
Current Health Insurance is a Biblical Harlot riding on Americans.
They (Harlot and Republicans) descriminate sick , poor and old. And
you have to buy Afflac too!! But when you get sick They-Harlot
supported by Republicans cancel Insurance and Americans 1.6 Million
per year getting bancropted!.
So now is a time for Insurance for all Americans! let us stop
monopoly of Harlot and Rpublicans support of it.
God bless Obama and all Americans!!!!!!
Let us stop all wars!!!
Peace, Peace. Peace !!! to all of you!
momento more!
p.s. very , very healthy FIDEL

Sarcastic, ambiguous e-mail my friend. Written in true Leftwing format. Medicare and Medicaid run in the red. Averaging 40-60 million dollars in debt annually for each state in the union. The States pick up most of the tab and the Federal government subsidizes it with our Social Security retirement monies. Now turn this into a nationwide health care system. Who wins?, not the MAJORITY hard working middle class. Welcome to more Welfare for the illegal immigrants and lazy cheaters you socialists support. Why don't you put this kind of effort into supporting laws that cap prices on prescriptions, medical malpractice lawyers and most of all the FRAUD that runs rampid in Government unchecked programs. Heres one for you to ponder.....tax religion and balance the trade deficit first to pay for your socialist ideas. Why would we vote for a system that no one understands. If your only goal is to reform without offering a substantive solution then you are ignoring the fact that the majority of the middle class would like a choice. After all we are the ones who are paying for it in the form of more taxes. Of course your on board with that....right? Put my name on any bullshit list and you will be subscribing yourself to porno the rest of your life.

WE have no money to do any more and the worse thing that could happen is to have the government involved. Take a hard look at the programs they have been involved in and honestly ask yourself if you want them handling your Health Care and the Health Care of your children, family.
