No to Green River Nuclear Power

Despite all the negative aspects of nuclear power, our country is moving forward on more projects. Nuclear power is unaffordable -- in excess of two billion dollars for each plant. We still don't know how to safely transport, dispose of, or store nuclear waste. Nuclear power plants are also the ultimate soft target for terrorist attacks. The Department of Energy is planning a nuclear power plant in Green River, Utah, despite the fact that the residents of the area do not want this here. Being a desert environment, we do not have enough water sources to support such a project. Please help us tell officials that the people of the planet do not want this energy source here in Utah or anywhere in our country. Thank you very much for your support.
We, the undersigned citizens of the planet, believe a nuclear power reactor in Green River is a step backward in time for our energy solutions. This project is costly, not only in dollar amounts spent to build these reactors, but in the potential costs to farming, human quality of life, and the environment.

Unforeseen disasters happen worldwide. We do not want to leave future generations with the enormous task of having to clean up the nuclear waste that we create in this generation.

The Utah landscape is one of the most beautiful places in the United States. Please let us preserve this natural beauty for today's generation and those that will come after. If this project by Blue Castle Projects goes through, future generations are sure to look at this and as, "Why was this done?"
