Dear Oprah, Please help the American People to see the need to join me and millions of others in our fight against dangerous Genetically Modified foods! Help them join me in my personal commitment to avoid ALL foods containing GMO's. If I am not sure what it contains, and it does not say on the label that the food is made from GMO free products, I WILL NOT BUY IT! I am avoiding all foods containing corn & corn products, soy & soy oil, canola & cotton seed oil. If just 5% of Americans do this we can dry up the market for this hideous mutation of our most basic foods. (Corn, Soy Beans, & Sugar Beets.)

Dear Oprah: On May 19th, the American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM) called on “Physicians to educate their patients, the medical community, and the public to avoid GM (genetically modified) foods when possible and provide educational materials concerning GM foods and health risks.”[1] They called for a moratorium on GM foods, long-term independent studies, and labeling. AAEM’s position paper stated, “Several animal studies indicate serious health risks associated with GM food,” including infertility, immune problems, accelerated aging, insulin regulation, and changes in major organs and the gastrointestinal system. They conclude, “There is more than a casual association between GM foods and adverse health effects. There is causation,” as defined by recognized scientific criteria. “The strength of association and consistency between GM foods and disease is confirmed in several animal studies.” Since 1965 this international association of physicians and clinicians has been providing research and education alerting us to hazardous toxins in our environment. Now they are saying that GM foods pose a serious health risk. Are you listening? Scientific evidence is mounting that GM foods are not safe. Please search "gmo food" in Google and Google News to confirm this. GMOs are now contaminating organic foods by cross-pollination. This must stop! To continue would deprive everyone of the right to choose healthy food. I have resolved to eliminate all GM foods from my diet. As things stand now, this means eliminating most processed foods from most food companies. You have a reputation for integrity, as a person who can’t be bought. That’s why people listen to you. Please don’t destroy my confidence in Oprah Winfrey by shirking your responsibility in this issue. Say NO to GMOs. Please, Oprah, will you? Take these guys out. I don't want to eating this crap. It is not safe no matter what they say. And to hold a monopoly on life and a plant is just plain rediculous. And these little farmers can't pay the legal bills when Monsanto sues them. Its gotta be stopped!! A crop that has to be bought only by them. Hello people wake up. A crop that can produce its own toxins to kill pests. A crop that can withstand herbicide which is made to kill anything green. We are eating this and its gotta be stopped. Its just crazy how they hold a patent on a life form.

After watching the documentary "The World According to Monsanto," also read the book or watch the documentary based on the book "Seeds of Suicide," to see the ultimate land and human destruction by Monsanto and their GMO seeds. You also need to expose the revolving door between Monsanto employees and the Federal government. Currently a former Monsanto Vice President, Mike Taylor is the head of the Food Safety Group at the FDA. At the very least this should be seen as a conflict of interest, and it is more about Monsanto's control of government actions to protect Monsanto's interest and not about protecting or in the best interest of the American people. This revolving door between Monsanto, other Chemical Companies and the FDA has been on going for many, many years and coincidentally so has the deterioration of our food products and safety, leading to destruction of our health and well being. One of the "Food Safety" bills was drafted and presented by Rosa DeLauro, the wife of a lawyer,Stanley Greenberg, CEO of "a polling and consulting firm, and co-founder of an organization which produces left-leaning political strategy. Greenberg's corporate clients include British Petroleum, British Airways, Monsanto Company and General Motors." You can see how this may have direct influence from Monsanto to the bills, regulations and actions in the government regarding agriculture and food supply in the United States. The more you research and find the truth the more you will see the tangled webs that have been created, none of which in the best interest of the American or Global peoples.
