Houston, TX is one of the largest cities in the United States, and amongst the most polluted. Undoubtledly, it is one of the largest trash producing cities in the country. Austin, TX is amongst one of the top ten greenest cities in the country, probably thanks to the progressive frame of mind attributed to the residents and city officials. Austin also has a door to door recycled waste pick up that goes hand in hand with regular trash pick up. Lets help to make a huge impact on our planet by getting this huge metropolitan city of Houston to instate a door to door recycling waste management program that mirrors Austin's program. Our children (and the rest of the world) will thank us!!

Every community must step up to the plate in an attempt to reduce landfill usage. This starts with the leaders and goes down to the citezenry. In my community it is mandatory to recycle. It should be in yours also. Be the model city I know Houston can be. Stand proud as a shining example to other cities.
