Remove the ribbon

Pro Engineer's continued convergence with the Windows User Interface (UI), in particular the dreaded ribbon, adds nothing to ease of use: it reduces, not increases, productivity. The icons are not intuitive. The number of mouse clicks needed to perform the same tasks as in earlier releases has increased, not decreased. Many customized mapkeys no longer work.
These so-called innovations may or may not gain new customers for Pro/Engineer but they most definitely ride roughshod over existing customers, many of who have been using ProE for years and are uninterested in changes that are unrelated to the actual reliability, robustness and accuracy of the models that ProE produces.
PTC needs to acknowledge that their users are for the most part engineers, not casual computer users who dabble in multiple applications and want them to all look the same. Pro/Engineer will never be like PowerPoint or Outlook. The UI should reflect this - it should be straightforward and logical.
PTC - Remove the ribbon!
