would like it if you could somehow in any way help us help the chinchillas. We understand there aren't any wild chinchillas in Iowa, but there are still poachers buying and killing them for a profit. We think it's wrong and needs to be put to an end. Thank you so much for taking the time to consider this.

Chinchillas are adorable animals that people love to keep as pets. They should NOT be skinned. They should be loved and cared for by many people or even just live in the wild in a safe environment. I would love to have a Chinchilla as a pet but if people keep capturing and skinning them then there won't be any left more me.

I used to be around nine chinchillas, they each had their own personalities. They are curious, adorable, and have the softest fur I ever have felt. They make you laugh with the silly things they do, and come to comfort you when you are sad. Stop this inhumane cruelty to chinchillas!!

Incredibly, the trailer park I live in has had several sightings of a 'wild' chinchilla - I couldn't imagine any one wanting to kill thses little creatures, but, then I am a vegetarian & have trouble with the way humans (ab)use others that inhabit their world.
