Save the Sea Otters

Target:
George Bush, President, United States of America President
Sponsored by:
Before sea otters were hunted to near extinction, there were an estimated 150,000 to 300,000 sea otters scattered throughout this historical range. Today, the worldwide range is estimated to be between 65,000 and 90,000. Although their numbers are nowhere near their historical populations, sea otters occupy most of their historical range from the Kuril Islands northeast to Prince William Sound, Alaska.

Sea Otters in Alaska are in danger!  The Marine Mammal Protection Act protects sea otters. It prohibits commercial harvest of sea otters, But it ALLOWS Alaska natives to HUNT sea otters for subsistence and creation of handicrafts. This is Cruel and Inhumane!
