STOP BADGER BAITING!!

Badger Baiting has been strictly banned since the 19th Century, but has surprisingly increased today.
It is said that over 20, 000 badgers are killed from this STUPID sport in the UK every year.
It is despicable to think that the people who are committing this act are getting away with it due to telling the court that they mistook it for a fox. These people are more interested in catching the badger as they can sell it for over 500 euro per badger.
The cruelty involved in Badger Baiting would make any heart bleed but little people are aware of this terrible act that goes on. Usually two or more dogs are set off to the burrow to attack the badger to its death or till the badger has given up and exhausted. Badgers usually role up into a small ball to try and protect themselves and occasionally fight back. This poor animal would not only be distressed but would be getting bitten by dogs from all angles. After the badger has given up and can no longer protect itself, the human will smash its head in until dead.
Not to mention that the dogs that are used to attack the badger also leave with deep, bleeding wounds.
THIS IS DISGUSTING!

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II,
I am a 16 year old girl who lives in Australia and is writing to you with concerns for the badgers and dogs used in badger baiting still today.
The badgers are tormented and ripped to pieces by the dogs. Not only do these badgers suffer greatly but the dogs which are used in this sport suffer from serious wounds.
I know that this sport is illegal, but people are still committing this crime and gaining money from it.
