STOP GRUESOME KILLING OF DOGS

Bharat Diamond Bourse(BDB), the Diamond Centre of the World located in the commercial capital of India, Mumbai has become Bharat Diamond Hearse to the dogs who have been residents of the campus.. Located in a sprawling campus of 2 million sq ft at Bandra Kurla Complex, comprising 8 towers housing over 2500 diamond Organisations, an esteemed Company, which aims at promotion and export of diamonds worldwide, has hurt animal lovers all over the world by resorting to poisoning of dogs in the name of beautification of the campus.
There is no beauty in Merciless killing. Despite the efforts of the IDA (In Defence of Animals) to sterilize dogs at the Bourse as part of the animal birth control measures programme, BDB has started this gruesome killing within the close knit boundaries of their high security zones. Bodies of 6 dogs who were poisoned to death in the A/C plant and one dog on the grounds above were disposed of stealthily, taking advantage of the cover that every building at BKC has their own garbage disposal system.
Poisoning is the most torturous way of killing. The animals suffer from dizziness, convulsions and excruciating pain -- and this agony can last for hours.
So, urge BHARAT DIAMOND BOURSE (BDB) to stop this senseless killing.

What is ironical is that majority of the diamond entrepreneurs in the Bourse hail from the Gujarati Jain Community that preaches Non-Violence and reverence to all creations. Many of them are great philanthropists who donate generously to animal welfare causes also, and such a callous act in your campus is bound to hurt their sentiments as well. It is indeed surprising how this shameful act could have escaped your vigilant notice. Every person in the campus has to take moral responsibility for this cowardly act.
The message being sent out to the international community is %u201COur Diamonds are Special because they reek of Blood!%u201D. Is this the image you want to portray to your international clients? There is always a peaceful and compassionate solution within the framework of law for every problem. Stop this ghastly killing immediately and kindly ensure that the dogs remaining in your campus live with dignity. %u201CLIFE IS MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN DEATH, AND SINCE WE CANNOT GIVE LIFE, WE DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO TAKE IT%u201D.
