We need your help to end the use of live animals for medical student training at U.S. military facilities. Live animals are used in medical student courses at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) in Bethesda, Md., and Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. They may also be used at other military facilities.

We the undersigned request and urge you to stop the use of live animals for the training of your medical students. We strongly believe in the rights of innocent animals and putting an end to their abuse, torment and suffering.
There are many and varied alternative techniques to live animals which exist such as Simulab%u2019s TraumaMan System simulaton.
It is our fervent hope in signing this petition that you stop the use of live animals now!

I can't believe that LIVE ANIMALS!!! are being used by military in training, and being barbarically tortured for the use of training skills, this is digusting animals feel pain!! this is not what animals were created for, would you practice on other humans? no so whats the difference, build models with mechanicial things to stimulate the likeness of a real being and train on that!!!! please stop this!

It amazes me that anybody could think this WAS acceptable. All use of animals in experiments should be stopped as there are plenty of alternatives out there now that could be used. Animals have been used & abused by mankind for far too long now, we need to take stock & realise that we share this planet with them, no-body as far as I know made us God so we could kill things. We need to wise up or Mother Earth will fight back!!!
