Recently the Swedish Governement has released the Hunting-Permission of up to 10% of the wildlife-population of wolfs in the Swedish Forrests. This Permission is in addition to the Permission of hunting Wolfes, which have accused to have killed a certain number of cattle.
Wolfes in Sweden and Norway had been eradicated allready and the small population existing now of estimated 200 animals have been immigrated from russia. I personally understand this Permission as a crime against the wildlife as the wolf have to be considered as an endangered specie and ask you to send a letter to the Swedish Primeminister to withdraw this Permission.
Dear Mr Prime Minister,
We, the undersigned, are very concerned about the Permission of the Swedish Government to allow the unconditional hunting of up to 10% of the population of wild wolfes in the Territory of Sweden. As the wild wolf have been allready previously eradicated from Sweden and Norway, we had considered the increasing population of wild wolfes due to immigration from Russia and Finnland as a great oportunity to the Scandinavian Wildlife, as well as to the other European States, where the wild wolf returnes. We consider this Permission to be against the natural balance in Wildlife and a wrong sign towards other countries facing the return of wild wolfes. We believe, that the most part of the Swedish population will share our opinion.
Therefore we kindly ask you to take the neccessary action to withdraw the actual Permission and not to repeat this or similar Permission of wolf-hunting to give the return of this great animal and the first partner of humans a chance.
Finally we like to thank you for taking your time to read our letter.
