Youtube beta channels should remain optional!
Dear youtube,
We understand you are working very hard in attempting to improve youtube but I think you should hold open polls to the users before making such major changes to youtube. I myself am not a fan of Youtube Beta as I am sure most of the rest of the youtube community isn't either. Do you completely ignore what us users have to say? I agree that the feature should either be kept as optional to all users of the youtube community or completely removed from the whole system. I know you want to improve youtube but why cant you start by listening to your users!
Ok so all big changes have their pros and cons. This new set-up is no exception. In my oppinion, the feature has more cons than pros. For one thing, You can't see so much of your background due to the fact that the boxes cannot be made transparent. Another is hyperlinks have become obsolete as well which can cause a big issue because hyperlinks would always stand out on channels but now they will exist as just plain text and will most likely be ignored by channel viewers. One pro is that you can watch a selection of videos and favorites directly on your channels however this too, has a con. You cant view comments or post video responses unless you search for a confusing link called 'view related videos and such'. I think this is a very poor design choice. The colors clash, the style SUCKS. Youtube is just going downhill and it has been ever since google bought it out.
Nothing will be the same. I know it may seem cool to move on to the next thing but everyone likes their channels as they are. you said THOUSANDS of people use the beta channels but what about the other tens of millions of people who don't like it!? Its a confusing setup. It is hard to edit your description and it is even harder to see stuff. I am going to be STUCK with a crappy channel design forever. I NEVER liked the beta channels. I tried it once and got rid of it in less than 30 minutes. I didnt get it and it was very poorly designed. I dont mean to be offensive but seriously, I want to keep my channel exactly how it is! Youtube, PLEASE don't change it.
Youtube used to be cool, secure, fun. Google ruined that! They always update and are constantly on maintainence so sometimes users can't get on anymore. What was the point of some new features anyway? what is up with the realtime sharing crap? Mine doesnt even work! When you said you were going to default ALL newly created channels with the beta channels, did you even sit down and think for one second? IT IS TOO CONFUSING TO FIGURE OUT RIGHT AWAY! PLEASE don't change. I BEG of you. Look at the trouble it will cause! the protests from users!
To sum it up,I myself am going to miss my old layout terribly. I work so hard on my backgrounds and now no one will see them so well! Whats the point anymore? you completely ignore your members. You say you want to help but you just make the site WORSE! If you want to make it better, listen to what we have to say and keep the beta OPTIONAL or REMOVE it from the system. Your members mean nothing apparently.

has the beta been delayed? i logged in today to see if they changed it on the time the sied it whould be switched and it wasnt. i sapport this all the way!
The BETA channels suck. What happened to good Youtube?
Why don't we at least get an option? If you dont at least to that. Change your sites name to ThemTube?
I think the beta look is terribly ugly. I do not wish to use it. I'm willing to LEAVE youtube for it.
I fully hearted disagree with the sudden switching to the beta channel, no less than a month of even announcing the BETA channel, they suddenly force it upon ourselves. "You"tube was not even paying attention to the comments on the article about the beta switching, and later threw the whole thing in the "Help" area of the site. Simply pathetic youtube, simply pathetic.
The easy solve to this whole dilemma is to have the option to choose between the beta and the usual one. They're first obligation is to try to make the best for us all on the site, since WE made it popular.
These Channels are too complicated. Say I want to click on another video other than the one I'm watching. Say I was at 3 minutes. The video starts at three minutes and I have to go back. Also, some people spend a lot of time on their backround. Some 3rd party websited even design backrounds for the particular channel. It will effect the designs and looks, and make this person look dull and dry with just colors on their channel. This, and many others, are the reasons I oppose to them.
YouTube was started in 2005. Since then, the channels have been similar. It will take a couple more years for long-time Tubers to get used to everything.
Told you :D STOP THE BETA CHANNELS!
I really dislike the new Beta channels, seriously, I think most of us miss the old YouTube, where you could post videos without them getting(their audio) erased for no reason at all, when we could make the channel boxes transparent, when YouTube was awesome D: Why can't we stay with the normal old channels?! I mean...Yeah, if I have to do this...I'll make all the mails and accounts that I need to get the 2000 signatures >:O I already voted 3 times ;3
I'm really mad with the fact that YouTube wants to do those kind of changes without even asking the opinion of the users. The new Beta channels are HORRIBLE!
It should be optional. personally i dont like it. old channel designs look better.

Youtube, I know your busy, but will the members please listen! Why the need for everything to be Beta, why ruin everything? When it was just fine before? Is it for money, because if everybody's unhappy then I know that you are aware that everybody can just sign out-sayonara or shout goodbye to Utube, since there are a 1000 other video sites available! Why lose half your customers with Beta? Is it that special or necessary? I know Utube probably will not even read these petitions, but your slogan is Broadcast Yourself. How can we broadcast ourselves, when our opinion doesn't even matter? When most of our options are taken away? Why all the restrictions, when it wreaks havoc for Youtube's business? Plese think sensibly, or even with common sense, and ***PLEASE*** consider what I have tried to Broadcast to Utube by writing. I hope you let us all broadcast happily and satisfied with no intentions of leaving! Then to actually leave, discouraged, by this company-that cannot keep their words or promises! More like UnBroadcast Yourself!

I think that youtube should make beta channels optional. although they sometimes look good we should have a choice. i think youtube doesn't care about it's users and they need to start paying attention to us.
