Tose Proeski - Honorary citizen of Nova Gradiska

We, the undersigned, respectfully request that the City council of Nova Gradiska declares Tose Proeski honorary citizen of Nova Gradiska.

Tose Proeski was born in the city of Krusevo, Macedonia in 1981. His talent and his heartbreaking voice stole the hearts of all the Macedonians before he was 18. Soon, he became a huge star in every republic of former Yugoslavia. This war-thorn country was united again through his music and his never-ending humanitarian work for which he was awarded a Mother Theresa award. On 16 October 2007 Proeski died in a car accident on the Zagreb-Lipovac highway near Nova Gradiska, Croatia. After his death, the government of the Republic of Macedonia gave him the title "Honorary citizen of Macedonia".

Baring in mind that Tose Proeski's name is forever bound to Nova Gradiska, as well as the desire to establish closer connection between the cities of Krusevo and Nova Gradiska, we feel that the act of declaring him honorary citizen of Nova Gradiska would pay well-deserved tribute to the Macedonian nightingale.
There are no boundaries for Tose and it is up to us to demonstrate that love knows no boundaries as well. Thus we beg that our effort be acknowledged and once these signatures are collected they do not remain mere letters on paper. Thank you in advance.
