The United States is planning to build a 700 mile fence to prevent illegal immigration; to do so, over 30 environmental laws have been waived to hasten the process. This fence will pose a threat to already endangered wildlife by preventing migratory and reproductive patterns in animals such as the ocelot and jaguar, among others.
