Stop Fracking-Related Earthquakes in Oklahoma!

The science is indisputable. Mounting evidence shows that fracking is causing a huge increase in earthquakes in Oklahoma. A recent quake was felt as far north as Wichita, Kansas. So why is fracking still being allowed in Oklahoma?

Fracking, more formally known as hydraulic fracturing, blasts holes in the earth's crust to extract natural gas. It not only disrupts the earth's geological stability, it also pollutes waterways. Please join me in demanding that Ohio's General Assembly declare a moratorium on fracking until studies can quantify the precise relationship of fracking to quakes and tremors.

Dear Ohio General Assembly:

We the undersigned are outraged that you are allowing fracking to continue in Oklahoma. Overwhelming scientific evidence points to a causal link between fracking the the tremendous increase in earthquakes that Oklahoma has recently experienced. And the environmental devastation does not stop with earthquakes. Fracking also pollutes waterways. You should not sacrifice the good of your state for short-term profit. Please enact a moratorium on fracking in Oklahoma until scientific studies can quantify the exact relationship between fracking and earthquakes.
