Chris and Tanya Meyer found their 1 1/2 year old chocolate Labrador, Zoey, dead with an arrow through her neck on a neighbor's property on October 28. She had been missing since October 25 after going into the woods surrounding the Meyers' house in Rome, Wisconsin. Police and the local sheriff are investigating Zoey's death.

The Meyers have created a Facebook page, Justice for Zoey, to remember her and have received an overwhelming response from people around the world. They are now seeking justice for Zoey. While they are not opposed to hunting, the Meyers contend that the hunter or hunters who killed Zoey with an arrow should lose their licenses.

To the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources,

We, the undersigned, ask that you suspend the hunting licenses of whoever is responsible for killing Zoey, a 1 1/2 year old chocolate Labrador.

On October 28, Chris and Tanya Meyer found Zoey dead with an arrow through her neck on a neighbor's property. She had been missing since October 25 after going into the woods surrounding the Meyers' house in Rome, Wisconsin.

Police and the local sheriff are currently investigating Zoey's death. While the Meyers are not opposed to hunting, they contend that the hunter or hunters who killed Zoey with an arrow should lose their licenses. As Tanya Meyer says, "for somebody that can do something like this, it's evil and it's cruel."

Thousands of people around the world -- in Japan, in Iceland -- have heard about Zoey via a Facebook page, Justice for Zoey, and are joining the Meyers in seeking justice for her unnecesary death.

We ask that you consider rescinding the hunting licenses of whoever is found to have killed Zoey, a much missed mamber of the Meyers' family.

Thank you very much.
