Demand payment for related work activities

  • Please know routinely large and small trucking companies aren't  paying their drivers for all miles driven,  excessive wait times to load/unload (3-24 hrs . When driver has an appointment ),  trickle pay increases(1/2 penny) in a year,  even without tickets  or accidents,  no cost of living pay increases ever; yet we're  expect to do more for same money,  have more regulation on our personnel privacy(yes cameras in truck watching driver - say pick their nose),  require fees for our licenses,  permits, endorsements, etc..  to haul our nation's commodities which aren't  cheap, but pay don't  go up to accommodate the extra cost associated to be a commercial driver. We  must stop this mishandling of another one of our nation's service workers.  It's  not like we can go to another job; because all companies practice this to some degree.  HELP mandate a minimum  pay standard for work related  activities and pay for all miles,  no household mileage pay; that's  work we're  doing, b getting up no pay.  Very small percentage actually pay their drivers for all miles and I thankful for them; however, the ratio of drivers vs.  companies that are already doing this is staggering.  Is this a form of servitude?
