Demand that our female students are allowed showers after morning athletics.

As some people know, The Pauls Valley Jr. High girls that are involved in athletics are not given the option of taking a shower after morning workouts and practice. However, the boys are given the option to do so. These girls are being transported back to school and are expected to attend their classes while being sweaty, smelly, and uncomfortable. It’s not even the smell of sweat that you have to worry about but the fact that perspiration left behind on your skin allows bacteria to proliferate, and that can lead to rashes and breakouts.Sweat helps breed funguses....Hello, potential yeast infection! Also at this age most of these girls has started their menstrual cycle which many know, can be a very uncomfortable thing to deal with after a workout. Understand that this is considered 1st period on their schedules so they have to spend all day in school this way. If the football team can start their practices at a reasonable time such as 6:30am or 7:00am, to allow the boys enough time to shower then these girls should have it the same way. NO EXCUSES. So please join me in signing this petition so our daughters are treated fairly and not having to suffer anymore.
