Incubus' first album Fungus Amongus is turning 20 this year. Though it wasn't critically acclaimed it is still a significant piece of Incubus history. This is what first put Incubus out on a grander scale in the public eye. A smaller portion of Incubus fans still to this day hope and shout at Incubus concerts for them to play songs such as "Take Me to Your Leader", Speak Free, and "Shaft".
Incubus has changed their style time and time again, but here we have their roots that held them firm in rock scene. With where they are style and age wise its not likely they'll ever play these songs in entirety. I'm proposing that they could play small snippets of the Fungus Amongus songs like they did for "Trouble In 421" during HQ Live or even a remix like they did for "Redefine" on the "Look Alive" DVD. I could see "Speak Free" having an acoustic remix and even see snippets of songs like "Sink Beneath the Line" and "Psychopsilocybin" between their more current and popular songs.
Fans of Incubus would love these little treats specially considering this year marks 20 years since its first release. Every fan of any band loves hearing remixs of specific albums. For example Pearl Jams "Ten" album was re-released and the songs were given added flare and a breath of fresh air. The fans and I aren't asking for a remixed album, but it would be amazing to see live remixes of these songs.
