Discrimination Against Pitbulls

The pitbulls or any bully breed they can be very loving and caring family pets, but being raised the wrong way they are banned to live within the city limits of Chanute...it is not right to keep this breed or any bully breed banned for the doing of a few owners who didn't care to show their dog love,caring,and kindness that they we're suppose to.

Here is a good example of the breed pit bulls being shown that they can be loving and caring around families.... there is a television show on TV right now on Animal Planet called: "Pit Bulls & Parolees" there it shows the owner of the organization and her family with the help of parolees and those that were parolees helping her rescue this same type of breed that is banned from our city... in the show you see how each one person on there comes in contact with the breed bring it back to health from a life of uncaring or not being loved and if not worse abandoned at the owners desire. Here in Chanute its been seen that there are several pit bulls being put down against their will just for being a type a breed of dog that some fear, yet others just adore the breed. They can also be used as therapy or service dogs as well for those who need help doing things on a daily basis... please help us and all the many other people who can and may benefit from this petition and bring back help that no person can help, but just maybe a four legged friend can.
