Tell Tyson Foods: Stop Feeding Antibiotics to Healthy Chickens!

New evidence from Reuters shows that Tyson Foods, a major poultry supplier, has been routinely feeding antibiotics to their chickens. This practice occurs continuously over the birds' lives, not just when they are sick. Tyson leads a pack of five major meat suppliers who support this practice: Pilgrim's Pride, George's, and Koch Foods.

This overzealous use of antibiotics is more than an animal rights issue. It promotes the growth of "superbugs" -- bacteria resistant to medicines used to treat humans and pets.

Tyson Foods is endangering human health for the sake of maximizing profits. Please sign the petition to urge Tyson Foods to stop the cruel, unnatural and dangerous practice of feeding antibiotics to healthy birds!

We, the undersigned, are concerned with your practice of feeding antibiotics to healthy birds.

We understand that you are part of five major poultry suppliers who support this practice: Pilgrim's Pride, George's, and Koch Foods. We hope that, as the largest supplier of the five, you can take initiative to end this practice.

Your company is endangering human and animal health for the sake of maximizing profits. This is unsustainable for your animals and dangerous for the health of our country. We respectfully urge you to end the practice of feeding antibiotics to healthy birds. Thank you for taking the time to read and consider our petition.
