LEGALIZE MARIJUANA

Target:
10,000
Are you a believer in marijuana and all the goodness it has to offer?
Are you a disabled or ill person that uses marijuana for self-medication?
Did you know that the resin from marijuana can be used to make almost any medication for almost any symptom?

There are many positive uses of marijuana that is hidden from the general public by the government. Mabey because the medicines that can be made would cost much less, mabey it's because it is harder to control and tax because of it's availability to the public.

Did you know that 60-75% of the WORLD'S population uses marijuana?
Did you know that 50% of teenagers have tried marijuana before 12th grade?
Did you know that 83 MILLION AMERICANS over age 12 have tried marijuana at least once?
Did you know that at least 4 out of every 100 people regularly smoke marijuana?

There are 100s of people out there who really need marijuana to survive everyday life, and are afraid of trying or admitting their usage because it's illegal. How sad is that?

Have you ever heard of a man beating his wife or kids because he was high on pot? Probably not!
How about a person who blacked out and caused car accidents or killed someone because they where high on pot? Not likely!
How many other horror stories can you think of that where caused by marijuana? Can you even think of any?

Good question!

Not many people know the TRUE facts about marijuana. Only what is said on television or in the papers. They only hear what the government wants them to hear.
Do you actually think the government is completely honest?
I didn't think so!

Now that  you know some facts, why not take some time to learn about other positive facts about marijuana.
When you discover the real truth, join the cause and sign the petition and help the rest of us make our lives better with the legalization of marijuana!

Even if your are not a user like me, never tried it, never intend on
trying it, there are cancer patients, glacoma patients, and MANY other
Patients that use it because nothing else works for them. Ever heard of
anyone smoking and causing an accident, taking someone elses life? Ever
heard of a man beating his wife after he... used pot? HIGHLY doubt it!
California is in the process of a state-wide full use legalization.
Minnesota, Wisconis, & Michigan have it in the house as we speak.
Thank goodness for Obama and Tim Pawlenty for pushing it! If you study
the fact instead of the lies, you will see that any
medication can be made from this product, ropes, baskets, jewlery,
food, and so much more can be made and made at a much cheaper price. If
you want them to stop cutting down our trees and using up our
resources, this is the perfect alternative. Study it, it's a fact jack!

With our country at it's worst state in years, our nations GDP on the rise, the fiscal debt becoming larger, and the job markets crash, isn't it time for change. Our government would save nearly $13 billion a year on decriminalization of marijuana alone, add the $40 billion in lost tax revenue, the created jobs, and other revenues from legalization and taxation, and you're looking at over $100 billion dollars a year in lost revenue. In just 10 years we could eliminate 1/8 of our nations over $8 trillion debt. When the people who are growing and selling marijuana illegally, are the ones who don't want the laws to change, then there's obviously an issue. Boost the job market, fix the economy, and save the environment, all with the legalization of a single plant: MARIJUANA

i believe my mother showed the most improvment with her bipolar manic depression when using marijuana than any prescription drug she has ever taken and she has been a lab rat for just about all of them if marijuana was legalized she could smoke it or take marinol and not have to worry any more about her prescription costs because she could grow the cure for her ailment she lives on 700 bucks a month and spends almost 200 of that on Rx drugs cant we just legalize it for everyone tax for recreational use and allow medical users to grow it tax free

The United States must stop incarcerating our children in the name of the DRUG WAR. We are ruining their lives. We are ruining families. It truly is a WAR ON PEOPLE. We know that the reason for the prohibition in the first place was Racism. We must legalize now to prevent any more harm than what has already been done.

This country as a whole has locked up more people for pot than any other country in the world..What the hell is wrong with this picture? We live in a country that is supposed to be for the people by the people, well we are the people and it is time the poloticians that we put there should start to listen...You know there is not one single person how has got too stoned and wrecked thier car and wiped out an entire family. However people can still drink alcohol? I dont understand this...you can go home and drink a beer but you cant go home and smoke a joint...Legalize it and there will be no more Drug related crimes in this country...Let the cigerette companies produce it and tax it, then we cant go wrong..Billions upon Billions of dollars could bring this country out of the recession....

place control of marijuana in the hands of the people...at the very least, let a licensed physician prescribe this beneficial herb as they see fit. if governmental officials want to become involved, let them tax it if necessary and, perhaps, insitute prohibitions on sale to minorsd. let them use the revenues received to reduce our national debt and quit incarcerating their constituency. put farmers back to work.

The U.S. is wasting millions of taxpayer dollars fighting a war on drugs they are not winning. Marijuana is a harmless substance that has many beneficial uses, and possesing marijuana is a victimless crime-shouldn't even be a crime. I am now considered to be a felon over personal possesion of marijuana and prior to this had never even had a traffic violation...this insanity must stop !

i quit smoking pot because of my job. in my view, legalizing pot would generate revenue, unburden the courts and the prisons, free law enforcement to go after the violent criminals, curtail the drug gang violence, and probably create jobs, too. also i have never heard of pot killing anyone, unlike hardcore drugs, cigarettes, and alcohol.

i used to think marijuana was a bad thing. my friends would smoke pot, i would i asked what did they see out of it. their responce was that it allows them to coup with stress of these hard times. i started paying attention to their reaction when they smoke and didnt smoke. they actually performed better while under influence then not go figure. i personally has never seen an aggravated pot smoker. i have seen other highly aggraveted alcholic which is legal. it starts from a seed not man made god given so whats the problem laws need to get real and stop the bs on pot legalize it.

Hemp would be a great way to fight global warming. It stores carbon quickly, as an annual plant, and it can be used for stop forest destruction for paper, and fiber for clothing and many other applications. Why sites like Care2 have not promoted this aspect of its legalization is shameful!!

You are so right. I mean Marijuana has a total of zero recorded deaths according to the Bureau of Mortality Statistics, the judicial and legal budget spends billions of dollars prosecuting offenders (of which 5.9 million Americans have been), The National Institute of sciences' Institute of Medicine has proved that it causes no form of cancer in humans (including ones associated with tobacco use), and you cannot overdose on it. if we legalized it their would be thousands of new jobs, billions of dollars coming in to us from taxes on it, selling price, and the money we would gain from the 30% less prisoners we would have. Than maybe we could remove marijuana from the spot of number one pursued crime and put something that matters their. If we are in an economic crises we need to do something about, and I'm glad to see that we have people making the necessary steps to do that.

Ive lived with migraines almost every day my entire life. by the time i was ten i was already on the strongest medication and six months later it stopped helping. Yes ive smoked marijuana while i had a migraine and it really stopped the pain. It felt so good to go to sleep without crying from the pain. so yea marijuana should be legalized but only for medical purposes not recreational use. thank you.

Marijuana should be legalized because if our economys in a slump then if we sell it and tax it it will bring in alot more revenue. If it was legalized then marijuana would most likely be our #1 cash crop in the U.S.

yeah i am disabled with disabilities that cause extreme pain. it is legal to give a script of oxycontin which can kill you. but you cannot get, (in this state) a script for marijuana. i have severe nerve disorders. i do not take narcotics any longer because of the side effects. when i can afford it i smoke weed. but i am scared cus it is not legal. and i have my family to think about. when i smoke i have very little pain, my nerves dont hurt and my neck and back injuries do not bother me as much. why cant the government just legalize it and tax it. i dont understand. it grows naturally. it was put here for a purpose. when a person has pain on a scale of 8 or 9 and cannot eat cus of the nausea, smoking helps the person to eat, sleep and sleep helps a body. it isnt fair.

Marijuana should be legalized! I smoke it, my brother smokes it all my friends smoke it, my uncle smokes it EVERYDAY and has been for as long as i remember and i am 23. Hell... i'm high right now and i still feel like i shouldnt say that on here because uh oh it illegal and someone might see, i did put my address on here they might get me, and no one should feel like that, keeping it secretive and quiet. my aunt always tells me that all these people die from weed, "marijuana can give people cancer quicker then tobacco" what a bunch of BS that is. no one dies from smoking weed, dont you think if weed could kill you that it would be all over in the news so they can scare people into not smoking it. but no, you dont hear anything. now how many times do you hear people dying from cigarettes or alcohol. ALL THE TIME, they even have warnings on the tobacco and alcohol products so what does that tell ya.

The only "horror" stories I know about marijuana are the atrocities committed in the name of PROHIBITION, along with robberies, and Big Pharma abuse of power.

I have severe colon problems which has left me unable to function due to pain and nausea. Ever since I began smoking pot I feel much healthier and am better able to function. I hope to one day be able to feel this way legally.
