Demand release of animals kept in Guangzhou shopping mall in China!

People over the world should be outraged over the dismal conditions in which the animals were being forced to live, as tourists posed for selfies beside them in a mall in China. The lethargic bear, whose name is Pizza, is on show at an “ocean theme park” located inside the Grandview shopping centre in the city of Guangzhou.

Animals Asia, a watch group, said there was no indication the aquarium would be closed or its animals, which also include arctic wolves, beluga whales and walrus calves, rehoused.

This forlorn fluff-ball just can't bear it anymore.

Distressing videos of “the world’s saddest polar bear” shows a bear that appears to be crying and hiding his face as spectators attempt to take his picture are getting national attention.

The bear named Pizza is one of 500 species of animals held at Grandview Aquarium in Guangzhou, China.

Since opening in January 2016, Grandview Aquarium, the newest creation from Haichang Holding, the largest Chinese operator of ocean parks, has received lots of negative attention after photos and videos of dead fish and prison-like living environments for its animals hit the internet. This is animal abuse at its core! We must do what we can to let the mall owners know that these beautiful creatures must be removed to live out their lives as nature intended or be relocated to a habitat more suited to their continual emotional and physical well being.

Update #17 years ago
Thank you to all who have signed the petition to free Pizza that Saddest Polar Bear, without your help chances are that "Pizza" will not be relocated to a better environment with other bears. The general manager at the Guangzhou shopping mall where Pizza is trapped, states that the bear is fine and that he is not sad. So far Amimal's Asia has collected over 500,000 signature's and I will be forwarding yours to be added to their petition. Let's keep this petition going! Thank you!
