We, the undersigned, want to cancel the slaughter of animals during the festival of Gadhimai. No goddess, no god would want hundreds of thousands of animals slaughtered these monstrous ways! Stop the killings in the name of religion! We are in the 21st century!
Le Festival Gadhimai qui dure un mois, est un festival hindou qui se tient une fois tous les cinq ans au temple Gadhimai de Bariyarpur, dans le district de Bara, à environ 100 miles (160 km) au sud de la capitale Katmandou, dans le sud du Népal. L'événement implique le plus grand du monde sacrifice d'animaux (environ 500 000) - y compris buffles, les porcs, les chèvres, les poulets et les pigeons - dans le but de plaire à Gadhimai, la déesse du pouvoir.

The Gadhimai Festival which lasts for a month, is a Hindu festival which is held once every five years Bariyarpur Gadhimai temple in Bara district, about 100 miles (160 km) south of the capital Kathmandu in southern Nepal. The event involves the world's largest animal sacrifice (about 500 000) - there including buffaloes, pigs, goats, chickens and pigeons - in order to please Gadhimai, the goddess of power. In 2014, this murderer festival will take place in November.
