Keep The Speed Limit Reasonable on Ferretti Road!

  • by: Marya Gomez

Ferretti Road is a two lane road in an extremely rural area. Without consulting the community, the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors will soon be voting on a propoed increase of the speed limit from 35 to 40.

Raising the speed limit to 40mph is an extreme safety issue to the local community. There is a high school school along this road. The road has no sidewalks, so local students are put at risk walking to school. Additionally there are always deer in the area, which is a safety issue to both the deer and the motorists.

Please keep the speed limit 35!

Update #17 years ago
This topic was pulled from next week’s Board of Supervisor’s meeting agenda - but it's not off the table yet. The org. that recommended the increase was asked to reevaluate their recommendation on several roads, including Ferretti.

Please continue to let the Board of Supervisors know how you feel about the speed limit. Sharing the petition on Facebook & Twitter helps!
