We demand that the NHS fund the treatment for Nathanael Armstrong.

By the time Nathanael Armstrong was 9 he was one of the most gifted swimmers in his age group in the country however by the time he was 14 he was told that he was allergic to a wide range of foods and was placed on artifical liquid diet.

At 16 Nat was told that he that he was allergic to all sugars and proteins.6 months later he was told without treatment his system was at risk of collapse.  The only treatment available for all of his issues in the UK is at a private clinic in Hemel Hempstead which the NHS will not pay for.

The treatment is based upon his desensitisation in relation to individual items, such as trout, chicken, olive oil etc. He is tested every three months, for a range of materials, reducing the levels until his body stops reacting.  This level is used to provide him with a serum to be taken before consuming the material normally (say a chicken leg.)  The technique is enabling Nat to consume an increasing range of food products.

Without the treatment, Nat's body cannot tolorate any food. For more information go to:  http://help4nat.co.uk/
