Demand to know our finicial status

As River House Co-Op members we elect the Board of Directors to protect our investments and keep us informed on financial and other important matters. We have a right to know how our finances are spent as well as what is needed. Priorities has not been met although large sums of money has been spent. The River House Co-Op is in great need of a roof, but money is foolishly being spent on things that could have waited. We voted on a patio that was supposed to have been for one price but we received less for way more (If you seen the poster of what we voted on you would be just as disappointed as those of us who voted). We need to know who is responsible for allowing the changes? The patio as terrible as it looks cost us more but we have not been informed how much more. I can tell those who have not been a resident that long "We did not vote for the monstrosity that we are stuck with" and we need to know the total cost as well as what we have paid and the balance owed. We also need to understand why we are patching a roof that needs to be replaced and why would we spend big money (over $50,000) on the roof lentils and when we get a new roof the lentils will have to be replaced again. We are repairing members units from the leaks and that is not solving the problems. We need to know how much of the loan was spent and how much is left? The Board decisions are not in our interest and the members should have to vote on anything over $10,000. It is time for us the members to be involved in the decisions because this is not just our homes it is our investments. We can no longer complaint silently or to one another, our voices must become a big part in the decision making. Our questions and concerns must be addressed and our meetings must be informative. The Board of Directors must stop treating the members as if they have n say so because we do. The Board is not a secret club they are there to represent us and it is time we get representation.
