Professor Boltz for Dean of Chase College of Law

Students, Faculty, Staff, and Alumni:

Sharlene Boltz has dedicated 28 years to the Chase College of Law in many facets of the administration including Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, Faculty Advisor for BLSA, LAW, and BLU, and as chair of various faculty committees, such as Curriculum, Law Faculty Recruitment, Academic Standing, and Law Faculty Reappointment, Promotion, and Tenure. Professor Boltz's education, her knowledge from practicing in the legal field, her rapport with students, and her national recognition for her roles with threat assessment and human trafficking task forces are evidence that she is exceptionally qualified to serve as the Dean of Chase.

After advocating for her in front of the Provost of the University, we are disheartened to learn that Professor Boltz was not afforded the opportunity to become a finalist for the position of Dean for the Chase College of Law.

We ask that Professor Sharlene Boltz be considered as a finalist for Dean of Chase College of Law and that she be granted an interview out of respect for and appreciation of her experience both within and outside of Chase. Internal faculty members of her caliber who apply for such a coveted position should be provided an opportunity to express a compelling vision for Chase's future.

Please sign this petition and share it with your colleagues if you believe Professor Sharlene Boltz should be granted an interview.
