Support Child Labor Ban in the Netherlands!

Products in stores may have labels listing their county of origin, but consumers still can't tell if their purchase was made with child labor. A new Dutch law could change that.

The new law, if passed, would take all steps possible to ensure that no child labor was used at any stage of product creation, including the raw materials used in production. It would require corporations to examine their direct suppliers and report any suspicion of child labor.

The law would be an important step in protecting child laborers who risk injury and exposure to toxic substances, as well as suffering a low quality of life and stunted development.

The law still needs to pass in the Dutch Senate, and will take effect in 2020 if passed. Please sign the petition to urge the Dutch Senate to support a child labor ban on products sold in the Netherlands!

I am writing to support a new Dutch law that would prevent the sales of products that use child labor.

The law still needs to pass in the Dutch Senate, and will take effect in 2020 if passed. I respectfully urge you to support a child labor ban on products sold in the Netherlands! Thank you for taking the time to read and consider this petition.
