Melanoma kills more people each year than Breast Cancer! Melanoma is a dangerous skin Cancer and has become more prevalent among the 18-30 yr. old population due to the over use and unsupervised visits to tanning salons. Children should never be allowed to participate in tanning at a salon. As children mature and reach their late teens or early twenties, they are more likely to be stricken with Melanoma and this disease can be a Death Sentence. Early detection and sunscreen are the only known preventatives of this deadly disease. Please think of your children and grandchildren and sign this petition. You may prevent one of your loved ones from being stricken be this deadly disease. Thank you
Betsy is involved in the BATTLE of her Life! Five years ago, she wasdiagnosed with MELANOMA, the very worse skin CANCER. She underwent two major surgeries and chemotherapy. At 39 months post diagnosis, she was declared CANCER FREE. In October 2014, she began to have unexplainable health issues. After numerous tests, she was diagnosed with METASTATIC MELANOMA, which means the CANCER had spread. The involved organs of the metastises or her LUNGS and BRAIN. Ske has had ten full brain radiation treatments and began chemo during the radiation therapy. She has henced learned her MELANOMA is a GENETIC MUTATION. Because of this a TARGETED CHEMOTHERAPY can be used and the end result with this type of therapy is 50% better. She will begin her targeted therapy in a few short days.
She is very optimistic and thrilled about her future. She tells everyone to go and get "naked for their demotologist" so a full body examination can be done. Her other recommendations are to always use SUNSCREEN, NEVER tan at a tanning salon and NEVER allow your CHILDREN (aged up to 18 years) to participate in tanning at a TANNING SALON. Glowing, tanned skin is something zealous beauty consultants praise. In reality, tanning salons could be a DEATH SENTENCE for children and teens. Her MOTTO is "BAN ALL TANNING SALONS FOR THOSE 18 AND UNDER".
I am forever grateful for your support and thank our LORD for His continueous love for my Betsy. I shall keep you posted on Betsy's progress and urge you to pass along the information I have provided. WE MUST STOPPED THIS DREADED DISEASE!!!
