Retire Limba the elephant to PAWS Sanctuary

Limba is a 53 year old Asian elephant who lives alone at a roadside zoo in Bowmanville,Ontario..she has been there more than 20 years, performing and giving rides, she travels across the country performing in a local circus ,as well as public events ,weddings , birthday parties ,movies and commercials..Canada's climate is not suitable for elephants ,the winters here are far to harsh which leads to painful foot problems from time spent indoors as well as painful and often crippling arthritis..

Limbas last companion was a female African elephant named Sheba who was euthanized in 2011, Limba has been alone since..her owner now claims she doesn't get along with other elephants and sees nothing wrong with keeping her at the zoo until she dies..

We are asking that Limba be moved to a more suitable facility that can accommodate her needs such as a warmer climate, soft terrain, room to roam, ponds to soak in,but most importantly other elephants..

A sanctuary can provide all this and more..she would never have to entertain another audience, give another ride or see a bull hook ever again..

she deserves this...
