Good News ! Liu got out of prison today, after being sentenced of three years of probation and a fixed prison term of three years. Anyway,he can go home now .He is really tired.

Liu Futang is accused of the crime of illegal business operations, how ridiculous ! On 11 October, he has been heard at the Longhua Court of Haikou City,Hainan. The authority accused him by the evidence that he printed and gave his own writings to others which are about his experience of enviromental protection in Hainan without the permission of the authority, while only few of them were sold out. After being detained for more than 2 months, Liu became badly ill both physically and mentally,however, he still regreted deeply about involving the boss of printing house who is also been accused.
The true reason forced the government to do so is that Liu Futang revealed the pollution of and the protest from local residents against the national coal power plant which is going to be opened at a fishing town called Yinggehai in Hainan, and the Boss of the national coal power plant is the daughter of China's past prime minister--Lipeng, during the 2 months, environmentalists from Beijing and Wenzhou who want to help Liu have been warned by the police.What's more, even now ,when we are spreading Liu's information on the Xinlang Weibo , lots of information will be deleted in a short time and your account will be frozen if you delivered some much. Now we are collecting signatures that will be submitted to the Hainan government tomorrow to call for acquitting Liu Futang , please help him free!
Please save this old man from being illegally detained by the Hainan Province Government ,China .Liu Futang has been an environmentalist for the whole life.
on 20 July,Liu was forcibly detained when he was in hospital ,and since now we didn't get any informations from him. All the cause was the banned "Yinggehai Coal & Electricity Plant Event" in Mainland China,which happened in January 2012. Lots of people were seriously injured (including childs and women)because of the government's violent arms,as the plant will inevitably bring pollutions to this simple town and badly impact everyone’s health.
Last month,Liu 's Sina weibo & Blog had been blocked,which issued informations about that event and called for justice,before that,Liu had been silenced on Sina weibo for several times and many relevant articals had been deleted .And you should know that Yinggehai,a small fishing town of Hainan ,China,it doesn't lack of electricity or even produce coal at all,neither does Hainan Province.
We are really concerning about Liu's safety,becuase he has been 65 years old and got serious hypertension.18 days had gone,the government still didn't allow anybody to visit him,including his lawyer.
What Liu contributed to was just fighting for the local environmrent and the welfare of townmen ,however,he was just punished for this now.He was accused for illegal business dealing,it's really ridiculous that Liu only sold out around ten books which are about the environmental protections in Hainan,while unfortunately,Liu also written the event of Yinggehai in his books,that is how the charge was created by Hainan Government.
Regretfully,there are little chinese know about Liu Futang,even the Yinggehai event and we are not able to issue informations about Liu or Yinggehai on the internet which are all forbidden.
Come on ,guys,let's sign for justice ,for the environment ,for everybody's healthy living right.Let's tell the Hainan Government to Set Liu Futang Free Right Now !!!!!!!! Thank You !!
